- Your show host Robert with Alan and special guest Tom Cotter. Tom is a very successful author and public relations specialist. Passionate about owning and working on cars, Tom started his PR career working with Humpy Wheeler at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He later started Cotter Communications, a PR firm with two accounts, NASCAR and General Foods. Later he sold his business and purchased his dream car: a 289 Shelby AC Cobra. He and fellow author and friend, Peter Egan drove the car from San Francisco back to Charlotte. Egan then wrote a story about it in Road and Track Magazine. Tom, a loyal Ford fan, wrote his first book on Holman and Moody, of legendary Nascar and Ford racing fame. His next book "Cobra in a Barn", based on a true story, led to more barn find books including books on motorcycles. He currently teaches public relations courses at Belmont Abbey College in Davidson, N.C. In his spare time he is at home with his family, enjoying his car collection and vintage racing.
