Your show host Robert and special guest Denise McCluggage. Denise is a world famous race car driver and automotive and sports journalist. Starting in the early 50's, she was a sports writer for the New York Herald Tribune. Denise covered skiing, skydiving and motorsports. Denise's racing achievements include a number of class victories at tracks such as Sebring, Daytona Beach, Elkart Lake, Lime Rock, Watkins Glenn, Nassau, and the Nurburgring. She also participated in a number of rallies here and abroad. Some of her competitors and friends were, Phil Hill, Fangio, Stirling Moss, Carroll Shelby, Steve McQueen and Fireball Roberts to name a few. Denise was involved with the inception of Competition Press which later evolved into Autoweek. Many of Denise's writings appear regularly in automotive and travel publications accross the country. Denise is the first journalist to be inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame. She received the Ken W. Purdy Award for Excellence in Journalism and numerous Life Time Achievement awards.
