Your show host Robert and special guest Lee Holman. Lee is the son of John Holman, and together with Ralph Moody they formed Holman Moody, the "Best Known Name in Racing". John Holman and Ralph Moody became the main developers and suppliers for Ford Motor Company's successful racing programs throughout the 50's 60's and early 70's. Lee was heavily involved in the racing operations and attended most of the roadraces, Nascar, Drag racing and Boat racing events here in the US and in Europe. One of the winningest US roadrace cars ever built is the Ford GT 40. Lee continues the tradition of Holman Moody, located in Charlotte N.C. Here they still build race cars and engines but they also carefully restore vintage Ford Nascars and Roadrace cars to correct period race configurations. The pride of the shop however, is building and restoring GT 40 MK II's to their original racing specs with the help of some of the original Lemans team members. Also alumni sit-in guest Alan was with us to talk about a rare and documented original one owner 1967 Shelby GT 500 4 sp car with a special order Holman Moody 427 aluminum head, side oiler engine.
