Your show host Robert and special guest George Follmer. George's racing career spans across 4 decades. He started club racing Porsche 356's and eventually a 4 cam Porsche powered Lola. In 1966, George became a hired shoe and started driving Lolas and McClarens in Can-Am and AMC Javelins in Trans-Am. During the 1969 Trans-Am season, he piloted the Boss 302 Mustangs and in 1970 together with Parnelli Jones won the championship. In 1972, George won the Can-Am championship. While all of this was going on, George managed to race in Indy car, Stock car and F1. Later in the 70's and '80's, George drove in many IMSA events and continued to race in Can-Am, IROC, and Trans-AM. These days George races in vintage events. He is also an inductee in the Motorsports Hall of Fame.
