Your show host Robert and special guest Danny Sullivan. Danny was the 1985 Indianapolis 500 winner. Danny Sullivan's real interest in racing began when he was given a course at the Jim Russell Driving School in England for his 21st birthday. With natural talent and strong self motivation he pursued racing in Europe through the 1970's in Formula Ford, Formula III and ultimately Formula 1. He competed for the Tyrell/Benetton team on tracks like Monaco and Hockeheim. In the early 1980's Danny drove in numerous Can-AM events. In 1984 he had the opportunity to drive an Indy car and in 1985 he won the Indy 500 despite a 360 degree spin at high speed in the early part of the race. That win is referred to as the “Spin and Win” or doing the “Danny” and earned Danny a place in the record books. Danny has had countless pole positions and podium finishes. He has also competed in IMSA, Nascar and Ice racing, He has driven in the Daytona 24 Hr and the 24 Hr de LeMans, Following a successful racing career he turned to sports broadcasting with ABC and ESPN. He even had a role in the hit TV series “Miami Vice”. Danny has had an amazing run. Today he operates his aviation business and enjoys spending time with his family.
