In the early 1970s, Don worked as the communications director for SEMA. That position took him to Washington where he became a lobbyist for SEMA and the Car Hobby. Don later opened his own PR firm "The Prietive Group". His clients include, Lexus, BMW, Honda, Land Rover and Rolls Royce. Don is also and avid car collector with a V8 Lexus powered 32 Ford, 1956 Chevrolet Nomad the famous "Tommy Ivo" fuel injected engine dragster.
