Your show host Robert with special guest Bob McKee. Bob is legendary in the world of experimental racecars. His company, McKee Engineering was based in Palentine, Illinois and specialized in building unique road race cars, stock cars and experimental prototypes. He was very pragmatic in the design of his cars and utilized many off the shelf components. Bob designed and egineered every aspect of the race car from the chassis and suspension to the engine, transmission and body. Some of the notable automotive royalty that Bobcrossed paths with and interacted with over the years beginning with stack car driver Tiny Lund, Carrol Shelby, Jim Hal, lAstronauts Gus Grissom and Gordon Cooper, Paul Newman, the Smothers Brothers and even Steerling Moss. More recent, there is a special appearance by Bob on an episode of Jay Leno's garage with the 1968 Howmet TX expermental Turbine race car.
