The Clearwater Greek Festival 27-29 October, in Holy Trinity Church, Sunday School, and the “Philoptohos” were discussed at the radio program Panhellenic News, with Father William Damaskos and Kathryn Pantelis. The Asia Minor and Pontos Hellenic Research Center, as a way of preserving the Hellenic Heritage and History, was also presented by the founder George Mavropoulos, in Chicago. Angelo Palmer invited young Greeks from the area to participate in the Tampa Area youth team. All these were discussed in this week's radio program Panhellenic News, sponsored by the Panhellenic Federation of Florida and presented by Giota Argyropoulou–Frangedis. Father William Damaskos assistant priest in Holy Trinity Church, invited parents to bring their kids to the Sunday Service, especially for kids and after the Sunday School, at the chapel next to Holy Trinity Church. As he said the service starts at 10 o'clock at the chapel, followed by Sunday School, teaching kids to pray and other religious stories. Clearwater Greek Festival will be held October 27-29, at Holy Trinity Church, in Clearwater. Katryn Pantelis is volunteering for the event. She invited volunteers and quests for a three-day Greek Festival. She also talked about the Philoptohos program, which helps people who are in need, the American troops overseas, etc., and asked for people to participate in any way they can. She also invited on November 7th, at 6pm, at Holy Trinity Church Clearwater, kids, and their families to meet the Greek Author, Mary E. Ciesa, who presents the kids book “Spiros the Soup Eating Dinosaur. She is an author and nurse practitioner who supports home-cooked meals. After the event, soup avgolemono will be served for free. Την πρωτοβουλία του να ιδρύσει το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας για Μικρά Ασία και Πόντο ανέλυσε στην εκπομπή Panhellenic News ο ιδρυτής Γιώργος Μαυρόπουλος από το Σικάγο. Αναφέρθηκε στα ιστορικά γεγονότα που οδήγησαν στην γενοκτονία Ελλήνων και Αρμενίων στην Μικρά Ασία το 1922. Αναφέρθηκε στην επιτυχία των Αρμενίων να αναγνωρίσουν στο Αμερικανικό Κογκρέσο την Αρμένικη Γενοκτονία που πραγματοποιήθηκε το 1922 στην Μικρά Ασία από τα στρατεύματα του Ατατούρκ, ωστόσο η αναγνώριση της Ελληνικής γενοκτονίας παραμένει σε εκκρεμότητα. Το 2011 ιδρύθηκε το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας για Μικρά Ασία και Πόντο στο Σικάγο, με την συνδρομή Ελλήνων, Αρμενίων, Εβραίων ακόμα και Τούρκων, προκειμένου να καταγραφούν οι θηριωδίες του κεμαλικού στρατού. Το στοιχεία που συνελέγησαν παρουσιάστηκαν στο ντοκιμαντέρ που κατάφεραν να γυρίσουν με την συνδρομή συντελεστών από το κανάλι CBS και την συμμετοχή 13 διεθνών αναγνωρισμένων καθηγητών. «Lethal Nationalism είναι ο τίτλος του ντοκιμαντέρ, μπορούν όλοι να το παρακολουθήσουν on line μέσω Vimeo.
